Kevin Swanson is coming to South Africa — and why we're hosting him

Some conversations are worth driving for. On Thursday 17 September 2026, Kevin Swanson — author, pastor, and director of Generations, a man who has given his life’s work to family-based education — is in Witbank for a full day with South African parents. He’s joined by Bill Jack, a worldview and apologetics speaker. And entry is free.

We’re Xchange Community Learning, and we’re hosting. Here’s the day, and here’s why it matters to us.

The programme

Time Session
08:30 How should you teach your children? — Kevin Swanson
09:30 The correct worldview — Bill Jack
11:00 Live Questions and Answers — with both speakers
13:00 10 Principles in Education — Kevin Swanson
14:30 Which Curriculum — what do we teach? — Kevin Swanson
16:00 Facing the political and cultural barriers

Doors open at 08:00; the day runs to 17:00. There’s a live Q&A in the morning — come with your real questions, the ones you’d ask if you had these two across a table. Curriculum and books will be on display at the afternoon tea.

Why we’re hosting

Because of what happens on the day after a conference.

Anyone can be inspired for a Thursday. The hard part is the Monday that follows — the curriculum question, the assessment worry, the child who learns differently, the long obedience of actually doing it. Kevin Swanson brings decades of conviction and practical wisdom about educating children. We bring the on-the-ground team that walks with families here, in South Africa, week after week — curriculum guidance, knowing your child, assessment support, a reading lab, skills training, and a community doing it together.

Two forces joining, for one purpose: that any parent looking for a real answer in education — whether your children are in school or learning at home — walks out of that room with conviction and a way forward. And with people they can reach on Monday.

Who this day is for

  • Parents already homeschooling who want depth, direction and answers.
  • Parents with children in school who feel the ground shifting and want to understand their options.
  • Anyone asking the question the first session names out loud: how should you teach your children?

Come — it costs you a Thursday

Entry is free. Seats are not infinite.
